welcoming, protecting, encouraging

sleepovers, parties, competition, rival

fighting, staring, despise

jealous, malevolent

A Personal Guide

A lighthouse to my lost heart,

Headlights to the road ahead,

And a spotlight to my wandering mind.

You’re my personal guide.

A cane for the dark,

Hearing aid for unheard,

And a flashlight for the unseen.

You’re my personal helper.

A band aid to the small paper cuts,

Gauze to soak up the overflowing,

And a cast to mend the broken.

You are my personal doctor.

I try and try to get up by myself,

But when I’m on the brink to fall and crash,

You’re the one that picks me up and turns me around.
