Spiritual Gifts. Gifts from God we are blessed with to serve Him and others.
Eveyone was different, uniuqe spiritual gifts and different ways they can serve the Lord and others through them. They may be expected gifts, or gifts you never have thought about and might want to search and learn more about your gifts and the use of them.

During this class, we took a "Spiritual Gifts Assessment" which consisted of rating 112 sentences to whether it was definately true abut you, or absolutely false. Then, we added the scores up in the columns and then found out our top three letters out of the sixteen letters. Then we matched them up with the descriptions in the back for the three letters and found out what type of spiritual gift we had.

My results consisted of craftsmanship, leadership, and wisdom. All three of the results were something out of the blue; I had not expected any of them as my results.

Today was the last day with Ms. Gunther. We finished all our tests and learned how to analyze our learning style and our personality tests. My learning style results seemed half accurate and half wrong. Also, we finished our SDS tests and looked at what types of jobs fit us the most, and what kind of jobs we would be interested in, in our future. There were some jobs that were expected, jobs that my parents wanted me to do from when I was a child, and jobs that I didn't expect, but was interested in these days. I found out that I was more of a social person, not much of a technical or mechanic person. As a social person, most of the jobs consisted of looking into how people's brain worked, and how they react to situations, and helping people with physical and especially mental needs.

Career- November 15, 2010 & November 17, 2010

During class, we took three different tests. We took the learning style test, personality test, and the careers test. The learning styles test gave us suggestions about how we should start to take in information and how we are able to understand the materials we learn best. Some types of learning styles are auditory and visual. Depending on the type of learning style prefer, there are different ways to help yourself to learn better. Also, we could also learn what type of enviornment we study best in the tests results. The personality test consisted of us selecting excerpts of different's peoples reactions to certain situations. We were to choose the reaction we would have in that situation. The result of my personality test was different from a result I had gotten from a personality test I had taken previously. However, I found out that my personality was similar to a few years back, but I had changed a bit trying to adapt to new places I moved to every few years. The final test we took during the two days, November 15th and 17th, was the career test. We found out what types of careers we were interested in and chose a few of the careers listed in those categories. The tests was a new way to learn about myself and I think I was able to learn about how I learn best and got a hint about what I would like to do later on.

Career- November 12, 2010

Most people want to become succesful when they become an adult, and choose that as their number one goal for their future.

Of course, I would love to become succesful, become rich, and have a wonderful job that people will recognize and respect me with. However, at the end, I believe that you would realize the most important factor of life is to be happy. Yes, being recognized of having a good job and being rich may make you happy, but that happiness has a high possibility of sinking. The one single thing that can make you feel loved and happy is to be able to share your love and happiness with others. This may sound superficial and fake, however, I feel happy when I can help others in need and let them know that they are loved, when they think they are not. So, the most important factor for me is to be able to share my love with others and to help people with it.

Talent is a God-given gift to us that will help us to serve Him and to serve others. Everyone has talents, but they are all unique and given to each of us with a purpose. God told us that no one was left out of his plans, and each and every one of us has the talent to do something special. Many people compare themselves to each other, only seeing the good in the others, and the bad in themselves, causing people to let themselves down.

The focus needs to be on ourselves, and the talent, trying to work with it and using it. The focus of us should not be on other's and what others are good at. Of course, encouraging others and helping them out with their talents are nice things to do, however, only looking at the talents they have and not what you have, will make you get discouraged.

Everyone has talents; including yourself. I know that God has given me talents that I should work with in my life, and make myself useful. There are moments where I get discouraged when I think about others' talents and how much better they are then I am. But I also have moments where I feel great about what I did and am proud of myself.

I think that I have the gift of being outgoing, sociable, and being able to communicate and helping people out. I will try my best to work with my talents and try to use them for a good purpose.

There are many qualities of a job to look for when choosing a career you want to acquire. It is usually something you are good at, especially, if you're looking for a steady job you want to do for the rest of your life. Also, looking at how much you will earn will be part of the decision making process. And lastly, of course, something you enjoy with your whole heart. If you don't like what you are going to do, you will probably quit the job later on, or suffer throughout your life, not wanting to get out of bed and go to work every day.

People have a view for what gender is better suited for the job. For example, a construction worker most likely would be a male. It would be very unlikely to find a woman in a construction field. On the contrary, a kindergarten teacher would most likely be a female, because they are thought to be more caring and careful to what they say and do and are better at cooking and taking care of children. So, when it comes to choosing a job, you probably will think about your gender, what people think of which gender would fit, and if your gender would be able to do the job correctly.

There are always people that care about you and influence you more than others. Mine are usually my closest friends and family. My family usually influence my decisions and opinions, because I know they know me best and has similar thoughts as me. My friends influence my decisions because they usually have the same interests as I do and we talk about our opinions and decisions all the time. We usually have in-depth conversations about my problems or just anything I need advice on, changing my opinion and thoughts about things.

The Bible can give people help for almost anything, including career choice. There are ways to pray to God and try to find out what He wants you to do, or has planned out for you in the future. Also, there are ways that say how you can help others while doing the job. In the Bible, there are passages about the what choices you should make, or should not make. The advice you earn from the Bible can help you with the decision you make.
